Jack Mizutani

Jack Mizutani currently resides in Orange County, California where he serves as the percussion director for Woodbridge High School. He recently graduated with a percussion performance degree and is looking to continue his master's degree in library science.

Jack has been involved with several ensembles within Drum Corps International and Winter Guard International. Before joining the staff of the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps he was a member of the Blue Devils front ensemble from 2001-2002 & the Santa Clara Vanguard front ensemble from 2002-2004. His winter percussion involvement includes being a part of the RCC winter percussion program from 2001-2002 under the direction of Jeff Lee & Scott Johnson.

Jack is currently the pit instructor along side Jim Wunderlich for the the Concord Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. This will be his 2nd year instructing the front ensemble.

Jack has had the privilege of learning from many influential percussion instructors- Steven Schimdt, Rob Slack, Jim Ancona, Nancy Zeltsman, Naoko Takada, Chris Retschulte, Glen Crosby, Ralph Hardimon, Jim Casella,Todd Miller, Karin Irving, & Mitch Fennell.
