Peter Beckhart’s involvement in the marching arts began with performing six years in DCI, aging out with the Blue Devils in 2011. He also performed with the RCC winter drumline in 2011 and 2012.

Peter is currently the visual designer for marching bands including Vista Ridge HS (TX), Cy-Fair HS (TX), North Shore HS (TX), Jenks HS (OK) and many other fall and winter programs across the country. Peter is also a sought after choreographer for programs around the country including Leander High School (Austin, TX) and RCC indoor percussion.

In the drum corps world, Peter has been on visual staff of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps since 2013. He has also been the drill writer and choreographer for the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps since 2017, proudly leading them into DCI Finals for the first time in organization’s history in 2018, and helping them return to finals every year since.

A new journey began in 2023 when Peter founded non-profit organization, Marching Arts Give Back. As of 2025, Marching Arts Give Back has given away nearly $50,000 in scholarships to help drum corps performers afford the rising costs of participation. Peter is grateful for all of the supporters, donors, and sponsors that help us Give Back to the future of the activity that has shaped so many of our lives.
