Tyra Thompson is currently a senior Music Education student at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Tyra was a field assistant for the Blue Devils A Corps in 2016, and a drum major in 2017. In addition to school, she is in her third year as a drill technician for the Hebron High School band in Carrolton, and her first year with the Boswell Band in Saginaw, Texas. Tyra is planning to graduate with her bachelors and find a position as a band director with a local middle school band, and continue working with young drum majors and leaders.
