August 4, 2009 - The Blue Devils "B" Drum & Bugle Corps took a commanding lead at the first day of the 2009 Drum Corps International Open Class Quarterfinals competition today in Michigan City, Indiana, with a score of 93.55.
BDB took first place in the General Effect and Music categories, and were second to the Citations in Visual.

Congratulations, too, to the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, with a score of 92.25, who also have a large lead on the third place Citations, who scored a 91.20. Full recaps of the scores and the corps are on the
