On a recent weekend in Concord, some of the biggest names in Drum Corps gathered for a very special project - the Blue Devils Through the Years DVD series, produced by Emmy award winner Tom Blair. Tracing the development of DCI's winningest drum corps, this 3 volume set will highlight the Blue Devils from 1974 through the 90s. Each decade has a separate commentary featuring the people that made the Blue Devils a phenomenal success.
The 70s volume includes a spectacular round table discussion of the early years of the corps with Director Emeritus Jerry Seawright, Mel Stratton, Shirley Stratton-Dorritie and Rick Odello. The 50 minute discussion covers the beginnings of the corps and their meteoric ascent to becoming the top Drum and Bugle Corps in the world.
The 80s features Mike Moxley, Wayne Downey, Scott Johnson and Stephanie Lynn as they talk about the amazing success of the corps through that decade.
The volume covering the 90s brings together current Director David Gibbs, Jay Murphy, Wayne Downey and Scott Johnson. These amazing commentaries give you an inside look at the worlds most successful corps - from the humble beginnings through many successful seasons.
