Jim Jose, 1936-2014

Jim Jose became a bus driver for the Blue Devils for the first summer tour to Oregon & Washington when his children Brenda and Brian joined. From then on, he would use his summer vacations to drive a bus. He loved being around the kids and they loved keeping him company on the long night drives. He could talk to anybody and was always willing to do whatever was asked of him: drive the bus moms to the store for food, the staff to meetings, or tinker with the buses if they needed tinkering. Jim stayed involved with the Blue Devils until Brian aged out in 1978.

The service will be Saturday, April 12, at 11am at the Oak Park Hills Chapel, 3111 North Main Street, Walnut Creek, CA. There will be a hosted lunch at Zio Fraedo's (Pleasant Hill) following the service. The family has requested donations to the Blue Devils in lieu of flowers.
