A season involves extensive rehearsal camps, a summer tour across the United States, and performances at major competitions, including the DCI World Championships.
The Blue Devils use brass instruments like trumpets, mellophones, baritones, and tubas; a wide range of percussion instruments, which included snare, tenors, bass, mallets, and drum set; and color guard equipment such as flags, rifles, and sabers.
World Class" refers to the highest level of competition in Drum Corps International (DCI), an international governing body for drum and bugle corps. Absolutely! The Blue Devils perform at various events during their summer tour. You can also catch them at the DCI World Championships or view performances online through FloMarching and our Youtube Channel.
The Blue Devils provide more than just a performance experience. We foster personal growth, building lifelong friendships, and develop skills that help young people succeed in school, careers, and life.

The exact participation fees vary from year to year, but generally the cost for participating in the Blue Devils* is approximately $5,500. Payment can be made in installments. Installment due dates are sent out to members upon acceptance.
Participation fees include spring training housing, spring training meals, tour travel, tour meals, tour housing, instruction, uniform/costume(not including makeup or undergarments), and all necessary equipment(not including mouthpieces for bras).
You can find current audition information under the "Audition" Button at the top right of the Blue Devils Website when there are active auditions. When there are no active auditions, please refer to the Calendar and News Articles for upcoming dates and information.
You can support the Blue Devils by attending performances and events, donating, volunteering, or purchasing merchandise.
