What should I wear?

It is important to wear athletic clothes and athletic shoes(tennis shoes that tie) for all rehearsals and shows.

What can I expect from a season with the Special Needs Guard?

Do I have to Audition for the Special Needs Guard?

This is an opportunity for you and your family to check out this program and see if it's a good fit for you.  Special Needs Guard only has registration, even if you see the word "audition", that doesn't not pertain to the the Special Needs Guard Program.

Where do I sign in to my BDPA Account?

Sign into your BDPA account here. If you don't already have an account from a previous experience with BDPA, one will be created for you when registering for any program or buying any ticket. If you are not sure if you have an account - Click Here.  If you do a password reset, an email will be sent (CHECK SPAM)

For Auditionees or Participants under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must also be attached to your account. Please follow the steps below to update your information:

1. Log in
2. Click General info
3. Enter Your Date of Birth in the designated field.
4. Click the Save Button
5. Click My Family on the left-hand side
6. Click Add Family Member Button
7. Fill in the information boxes and click Add Family Member.

My child doesn't have access to an email, what do I do?

Each person in our system has their own individual profile. All parents/guardians should have their own email and own login that are then tied to each others accounts and then to their members account.  Members have their own accounts, but with the connect in the system, parents and engage and purchase and pay for registrations, tickets, etc... on behalf of any family member.

Any school, work, or personal email will work, however it CAN NOT be the same as the parent/guardians emails, as that is used for login and designation purposes.  So any email you wish for you member to use for their login and communications.  

Please Note that emails communications for all those with Special Needs Guard and C Corps, as well as anyone in any program under the age of 18 years old, will go to the member and to the parent emails on file.

Are there Health and Safety Guidelines?

Health and safety is incredibly important to us, and we will share all pertinent info as the season progresses.

Covid 19 Statement:

BD Performing Arts highly recommends being fully vaccinated, which includes the most recent COVID-19 vaccine, for those who are eligible. BD Performing Arts reserves the right to request proof of vaccination as part of this verification process. The necessity of this requirement is contingent on the absence of surges in COVID-19 or other infectious disease outbreaks. We remain committed to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all members of our community.

Do you accept day-of registrations (walk-ups)?

What age must members be to participate?

We accept all ages and skill level, however typically the age range is from high school and up.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No, we will provide everything for you

What is the cost to participate?

Tuition is about $230-$250.  Trips are to be determined, but most of those expenses are covered by you, and those trips are voluntary.

Where is this event taking place?

I'm trying to pay for a ticket or registration, but my card won't go through. What do I do?

Payment Declined? Here’s What to Check:
If your payment is declined, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

• Insufficient Funds: Ensure your account has enough balance for the transaction.
• Daily Spending Limit: Some debit cards have a daily transaction cap. You may need to contact your bank to raise it temporarily.
• Card Restrictions: Your bank may block large or unusual transactions for security reasons. Try calling them to approve the payment.
• Incorrect Information: Double-check your card number, expiration date, CVV, and billing address.
• Expired Card: Ensure your card is still valid and hasn’t expired.

Recommended Fixes:

• Contact your bank to check for any restrictions.
• Try a different card or payment method.
• Attempt smaller amounts over a few days.
• Wait a few minutes and try again.
