It takes a large amount of money to meet the operational expenses of the corps. BDPA provides members with professional instruction, instruments, uniforms, transportation, practice facilities and all food at camps and on tour.
The fees you are charged only partially pay for the tour. We budget this amount as revenue and if we do not receive the whole amount the organization has a financial deficit. It is very important that you take care of your financial responsibility to the organization. If you anticipate having any problems, contact the program director immediately. Please do not wait until after the payment deadlines to let us know you will be having problems meeting your obligations.

BDPA offers two sponsorship programs to assist with payment of fees:
Tax Deductible “Program Sponsorship”
Donations under this program are tax-deductible for the amount of their contribution. On May 1, the funds in the pool are divided and credited equally to all participants in the Program Sponsorship.
Non Tax-Deductible “Performer Sponsorship”
Donations under this program are NOT tax deductible. 100% of the sponsorship is credited directly to the specified performer.
We do encourage you to generate your own letters to potential sponsors. This allows you to tailor the letter to your individual needs and to whom you are soliciting for sponsorship. If you need guidelines or suggestions, there is a sample letter available.
